A Colurful World
The first time I heard Cece Winans' song, 'A Colourful World', I was impressed by the beat. I did not know the words then but knew there was something in it that would move me to love it. I have been an ardent listener of Cece's songs ever since I came across Alone in His Presence. He music has been able to move me to a place of worship that only I can probably be able to explain. The songs on her latest album are a very inspiring collection. She sings from her heart and you certainly know it's not about fame but the heart to reach out to somebody out there.
'A Colorful World' deals with the many differences we, as people have. It lets us understand that these differences are there for a reason. God has made us what we are for the reason to share the beauty of what He's made us to be. The song inspires us to be people of possibilities, people that break the barrier of racism and segregation and a call to the unity of the human race. This is the heart of the song, which when first performed in Kampala moved people to love Cece even more.
I always think I am part of God's greatest creation. I understand I have to live with others, accept them for who they are. The spark each person brings in life is worth noting. The beggar on the street has the same possibilities another in a posh office can have. Once we learn to accept each other, we easily love them because we understand as people we are different yet before God, we are the same.
Cece's colourful world is thus the mixture that God has put up so we can understand the beauty of His creation. He still maintains the best qualities of art because He chooses His colours wisely. He has made each of us in His own image. The sooner we accept this, the better. Life is about knowing what God wants us to do for others. Live in unity and know this is a colourful world, just the way its Maker decided to have it. No one is useless for the maker knows the reason for their existence. The next time you have a problem with somebody think of your maker and know there's a reason for the whole world's existence. accept all for what they are and life will be as colourful as its Maker intended it to be.
